A design for a small house with a waterwheel, first modelled in ArchiCAD 22 and updated through 24. The final image is a digital matte painting using Affinity Photo, mixing textures and photos taken in Newton, Massachusetts. For painting reference, I used Twinmotion to apply materials to the model, and get a sense of relative color intensity and reflections. The final image however, is painted over the white model export from the in-built Cinerender engine. The final image shows the model with the same materials from the Twinmotion render applied in multiply mode over the white model, before lighting effects, additional texture, setting, and final grading.
