Palonae - Gable Roof Experiment

Three concept elevations for gabled houses, centered around circular windows and balconies, inspired by the forms and geometry of early medieval Celtic illumination. Not so much a design for a single building, as a way of experimenting with how to adjust fluid geometry around realistic design and code restraints, while retaining a sense of expression and mystique. One elevation is an entrance, the second, a balcony over a patio and sliding dooors, and the third a large window for a study or living room. Materially, I imagine using a combination of traditional wood architecture, and perhaps aerated corn husk, CNCed to achieve the curves. Modelled in ArchiCad, rendered in TwinMotion.
